Our camps are designed to give children a unique opportunity to learn, practice, and improve their Spanish language skills. Each camp is centered around a specific theme and consists of any combination of interactive games, music and movement activities, arts & crafts, science and cooking projects, and more!
Summer Camps 2024 – Lafayette
Elementary School (1st – 5th Grade)
Carnival Games – Juegos de feria
June 3-7
Join us for a week of classic carnival games, prizes and food – Viva el Español style! We’ll play tin-can-slam, balloon pop and bean bag toss, have a pie eating contest, and try our luck at wheel of fortune! We will build our own concession stand and make delicious agua fresca, guacamole, and popcorn. Our water balloon games are sure to make a splash!
Champions of the Reservoir – Campeones del reservorio
June 10-14
Contestants will spend the week in a not so “remote” location of the Lafayette Reservoir where they will learn outdoor skills while competing for the title of Champions of the Reservoir. Challenges include boating, nature walks, treasure hunts, shelter-making, tug-of-war, and a “gross” gummy worm eating contest!
Chop, Chop…Chopped!
June 24-28
A fun-tastic cooking competition! Our young chefs will be given mystery ingredients that they will turn into creative and extraordinary treats. The challenge? They will work in teams to prepare and cook delicious meals, up against the clock! Once completed with their dishes, a panel of judges will determine who delivered the yummiest fare. All in fun, can your cocinerito survive the chopping block?!
Ocean Science – Ciencia del Océano
July 15-19
Take a trip with us to explore the sights and sounds of the beach and marine life. We will learn all about adaptations, habitats, life cycles, how things move, classifying animals, and more! The week will be filled with fun beach games, and you get to take home your own three-dimensional clownfish science book – en “español”!
Sports – Los deportes
July 22-26
Imagine a whole Spanish camp for sports lovers! We will practice soccer, balloon volleyball, frisbee golf, hiking and more! Our field games will include pass-the-water, relay races and the hilarious ping-pong shake. Your little athletes will improve their physical skills and come home with a whole new set of “vocabulario” related to the things they love to do!
Jurassic Park – Parque Jurásico
July 29-Aug. 2
Calling all paleontologists! Travel back in time with the Viva el Español Dinosaur Egg Rescue Team to a pre-historic age, where dinosaur mysteries abound! We’ll create a dinosaur habitat, dig for bones and eggs, and make dinosaur fossils. Our T-Rex race will be a rawr-ing adventure!

The Chocolate Factory / La fábrica de chocolate

Calling all chocolate lovers! Join our master chocolatier in baking brownies and chocolate cookies! Your young bakers will learn about cacao and watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ¡en español! We will have a contest in which Golden Tickets have been hidden in chocolate bars to win prizes. This will be a sweet and tasty experience you cannot miss!
Indoor Winter Camping / Acampando en invierno
January 4, 2024
Too cold to camp? No problem, let’s bring it inside! We will build forts, learn to set up a campfire, roast s’mores, make chocolate caliente, tell stories, and make camp inspired crafts. Parents, your child will have tons of fun while playing indoor games to keep them busy on a cold day! Kids, don’t forget to bring a pillow and a flashlight!
Winter Sports / Deportes de invierno

Imagine a full day of activities for snow sport lovers! Through games and hands-on activities, we’ll learn vocabulary and phrases related to skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, bobsledding, ice hockey and more! Your little sports stars will come home with a whole new set of vocabulary for things they love to do!
